Leaders’ Debates: UK General Election 2010

The UK general election campaign reaches an historic point this week. The first of three debates between the leaders of the three main parties will take place on Thursday night. Gordon Brown, David Cameron and Nick Clegg will face questions on the topic of home affairs and will be broadcast by ITV, who are also using many new, social media tools to record instant reactions. http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010/apr/14/itv-leaders-debate-reaction-tracking

The second debate is on international affairs and broadcast by Sky and the last on the economy and broadcast by the BBC.

From an astrological point of view, what is interesting to note is that the first debate happens while the Sun is in Aries and Mercury is direct and the second two while the Sun is in Taurus and Mercury is retrograde. Therefore the performance after the first debate is likely to be unrelated to the second two. Who ever gains an advantage in the second debate can build a substantial amount of momentum. It will be interesting to follow.
