The closure of UK airspace was an extremely symbolic expression of Mercury retrograde in Taurus. This is even more poignant when you remember that the 1801 UK chart has Mars at 11 Taurus and Mercury stationed at 12 Taurus.
Today the Moon conjoined Mars and squared Mercury and on Sunday Mercury and Mars will make a square aspect in the sky. Mercury and Mars have a reputation for inflamed or agravated communication. Combining the symbols gives us hasty words; angry or forceful ideas; swift travel; demanding or explosive concepts; and don’t forget Mars is also heat and Mercury is wind. As the aspect is square, these combinations are unlikely to be easy.
