This is a message from a New Yorker to alert everyone to the very rare
astrological phenomenon, Grand Quintile, that will be taking place in
the sky on Thursday, October 28, 2004 (closely conjunct the lunar eclipse).
In case you are wondering what a Grand Quintile looks like, many countries
have the symbol of the GQ on their national flag. The American flag
has 50 of them in the upper left-hand corner. In other words, it is
a five-pointed star, also known as a pentagram.
The Grand Quintiles of October 2004 were brought to light by Jill Whitman,
who in collaboration with Ed Gillam, has an excellent web site (http://www.grandquintiles.co.uk)
on this rare phenomenon. However, there does not seem to be much else of real
substance on GQ's out there, which is to be expected considering how little
experience we have with them. So, I meditated for insight and here are my
thoughts:
I think the Grand Quintile is a seeding time for a future
collective eureka effect, a moment of mass enlightenment, of mass
satori. The potentiality of this aspect depends on how well
one has 'seeded the garden' during the Grand Quintile.
The energy of the GQ takes place in the mental realm, in the dimension
of thought and creativity, and because there is a time lag between
cause and effect it can be hard to connect the dots. So, this aspect
requires faith and wisdom---or an understanding of the laws of nature.
The gardener plants the seeds at the optimum time and then sits back
and waits---with faith and trust that the seeds will germinate and
come to fruition in their proper time . What's interesting about these
two GQ's is that they are triggered by the Moon's passage into Taurus,
the sign of the proverbial gardener. The Moon in Taurus is exalted
and so is very powerfully placed.
It is my feeling that this aspect does not function well, if at all,
when one tries to apply it for personal gain. This incredible planetary
alignment manifests its energy most clearly and vitally when it is
used for improving the collective good of the human race and the Planet
on which we live.
What is key about this Grand Quintile time is to hold in your
mind deeply and clearly what you envision for the future of the human
race and our incredibly beautiful green Planet.
These very rare Grand Quintiles are triggered by the Moon's passage
at 14-15 degrees of Taurus, which completes the fifth point of the
pentagram. I would theorize that those with a planet between 13-17
degrees of Taurus (11-19 degrees of Taurus for the Sun, Moon and Ascendant)
would be especially affected. They can be a catalyst for all kinds
of change if they can manage to channel this energy without blowing
their fuses. Those with these degrees of Taurus active in their astrological
chart can anchor/channel/catalyze this energy to the Earth through
November 8, 2004. Those who, in addition to the Taurus activation,
also have Libra planets at 5-9 degrees (Sun, Moon or Ascendant at
3-11 degrees) can do this through December. You can also partner with
someone who has Libra at these degrees and accomplish the same thing.
Ed Gillam and Jill Whitman have written in depth on the above web
site regarding the event of the October 28 Grand Quintile's rising
in New York City and the great rarity of this happening. So, I will
also theorize that New Yorkers can be a catalyst for change in the
coming years. The long term effects of 9/11 on the psyches of New
Yorkers are unknowable at the present time. Also, there was a coming
together, by virtue of sheer proximity alone, of many and diverse
protest groups for the Republican National Convention hosted by New
York City the last week of August, 2004 (when the Golden Yod section
of the GQ came into orb and which will be in place through December
2004).
So, this is also a special plea to everyone, especially New Yorkers,
to take some time for meditation and prayer the evening of October
28, 2004, and for the following eight evenings. On October 28 anytime
between EST 16:00 and midnight is fine, but especially around 20:45,
when Venus moves into 0 degrees of Libra and becomes the dispositor
of the chart for the 15 degree Taurus rising in NYC.
It is very interesting to note that these rare Grand Quintiles are
in the skies in the month preceding the US Presidential election.
It is my belief that this is a critically important time for all of
us to meditate and pray on what we want for the future of the human
race and our Planet.
