Graphic Ephemeris 17 December 2005 - 1 January 2006
We are at the tale end of the year, just after a full moon, Mars has just begun
to move forward and Venus is about to turn retrograde. The next new moon is
on New Year's Eve. I find this both comforting and terrifying at the same time.
This year we are truly moving into a new space.
If you look at the graphic ephemeris you can see the bunching of tense aspects
around 8 - 10 of fixed and 23 - 25 of mutable. Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto
are tightly configured in this area along with Neptune a little further along
and Venus a little further back in in the fixed signs; Venus spent a long time
as the fourth arm of the fixed cross we saw during November and early December.
Looking at the solstice chart we can see Leo rising; Leo was also rising at
the Aries and Cancer ingresses for London. This is a fixed sign, indicating
endurance, stability - this is not a sign of change. The existing conditions
seem set to continue.
We saw Jupiter Square Saturn last week. This is the first square in the cycle
started in May 2000 and is the first of three exact contacts, the second two
take place next year. These take place in the fixed signs at 10/11 degrees,
hence they have been part of the recent grand cross and close to the station
of Mars at 8 Taurus. This current configuration is part of an ongoing story.
Repeating degrees in the Middle East story focus strongly on 8 - 10 of fixed
signs; they come up again and again.
You can see that the new moons are falling on the 9 degree mark and that the
New Moon at the end of January will fall at 9 Aquarius picking up the positions
from the autumn. These have been long stays, so these inprints are deep. What
ever has been laid down will not be lightly ignored.
