Pushing for Independence

Last week saw another former Soviet republic kick away from Russian influence. A look at the chart for their independence shows a lot of factors ripe for action and the Aries Ingress for Bishkek shows other activating factors.

Transiting Uranus has just passed the opposition to the Sun at 7 Virgo, symbolising the government, and Saturn, which has been squaring the Moon, the people, at 20 Taurus has finally moved forward releasing the tension which has restricted previous action. The progressed MC, another symbol of authority, is now at 8 Scorpio sextile to the Sun.

The fact that the violence started on the day of the equinox is also interesting. The Ingress chart has several planets at 29 degrees and both Mars and the Ascendant in the independence chart are at 29 of Virgo and Sagittarius respectively. The progressed Moon is also at 29 Scorpio. It appears this combination of factors has let loose the flood gates.
