Thoughts for May 2006 - The Event Horizon

Graphic Ephemeris 2006
Things have been a bit hectic lately but recent events have brought home to
me how important it is to keep up this site. Listening to the radio last thing
at night has taken me back to my teenage years. And not in a good way; it's
been a while since the news was concluded by lists of jobs lost and plants closed
but not altogether unexpected given the Jupiter Saturn Neptune squares which
underlie this period.
Uranus also has a hand in the background conditions, Jupiter having made the
trine to Uranus last week, which adds a hint of uncertainty. You never get what
you expect when Uranus is on the scene. Saturn is just picking up speed after
its station at 4 Leo and moving towards the second of the three squares with
Jupiter, which is retrograding back towards it. They will prefect the square
in June, coming within three degrees of exactitude on 1 June. 22 June is the
exact square but we should pay attention to the few days previous as Mars will
conjoin with Saturn on 17 June.
This is the second of three squares between Saturn and Jupiter, the first was
last December, the last will be in October.
The Jupiter Saturn cycle tracks economic conditions and the conjunction, in
May 2000, was in Taurus the sign of physical resources, material reality and
practicality. What ever we meet will be the product of that conjunction and
the consequence of our having to adapt the progress of the cycle. Squares are
associated with crises but they are essentially periods of adjustment. Turning
the steering wheel as you approach a corner is a necessary and desirable adjustment
to the occupants of the car and to the occupants of the houses which lie in
the original path of the car. Adjustments are also caused by a type blow up
or an engine failure caused by the car running badly or over rough ground. You
can never tell exactly how it will play but we're going to find out soon.
