Thoughts for November 2006

Thoughts for November 2006 - Regroup and Rethink

4th November 2006

November starts with Mercury turning its back on the world. Halloween gives us a retrograde Mercury in Scorpio and also a virtually stationary Uranus, Saturn and Neptune. Pluto is moving forward and Jupiter will enter Sagittarius, its own sign, towards the end of the month. Mars is strong in Scorpio and Venus will leave Scorpio in the second half of the month to frolic with Jupiter in Sagittarius.

There is a great focus on Scorpio and with Mars in such a strong position, in its own sign, this may give us a moment to think about what we're actually doing. Scorpio cools the fires of Mars to a smolder rather than an inferno which allows us to use that energy more productively and Mercury retrograde inclines us to a little reflection and review.

Expect movement around the 18th/19th/20th with Venus moving signs, Uranus and Mercury moving forwards and a new Moon on 20th at 28° Scorpio conjunct Jupiter at 29°. Mercury and Uranus will also trine each other.

This may give us an unexpected period of calm but what happens afterwards? We have passed the last Jupiter Saturn square but Saturn has more exact oppositions to make with Neptune. Jupiter is now on its way to square Uranus but will not catch up until next year.

Perhaps this is the last opportunity to amend our course before we run up to Pluto entering Capricorn?
