The focus on Sagittarius is about to move into Capricorn.
We must now prepare to implement our game plan, what ever
state it's in, whether we knew that was what we were supposed
to be doing. It's about to be time for action. I've heard
that word more and more over the last week or so. We are on
the starting blocks and the gun is about to be fired.
The build up of planets
in late Sagittarius seems to hold great promise but seems
to be slim on deliverance. Those of us with lots in late mutable
seem to be spending a great deal of time running ourselves
ragged with little to show at the end. But just as a void
Moon gives a peculiar mood, how much more so a void Jupiter
or Pluto?
We do have some small rewards to show though. The Bali conference,
taking place on the week of the Jupiter Pluto conjunction
holds some hope for the future. At least we have something
written into the rulebook we'll have to live by. Another interpretation
of Jupiter Pluto in Sagittarius which came to me recently
is: vast amounts of information falling into a black hole.
Watching the news reports of the recent data losses in the
UK brought home the enormous amounts of information which
is held again/about us. Who is brought to account about this?
I've also had some fraught encounters with the Abbey bank.
It really feels like you're shouting into a black, endless
expanse. Even they - the staff - don't seem to know what's
going on. This feeds into the more sinister and conspiracy
happy interpretations of Pluto in Capricorn. The government/big
business has won: game over.
But it's most certainly Game On not Game Over. There's a
long way to go before the war is won and they're counting
on our giving up and going home. I refer you to Bug's
Life, the movie to get the general idea. There are more
of us than them; we just need to act like grown ups and take
responsibility for ourselves. We're moving from mutable -
adjusting, planning, thinking - to cardinal - action, empowerment,
movement.
Coming back to this December we see this mutable focus at
reach a peak at the 1st quarter Moon. Not only do we have
Mercury, Sun, Jupiter and Pluto in late Sagittarius but you
have the Moon in Pisces and Mercury is cazimi. That is in
tight conjunction - 17' - with the Sun. Decisions made now
will be have enduring power and if you've suddenly realised
that your game plan is rubbish, this 24 hour period around
the cazimi may give you the chance to adjust your position.
Jupiter moves into Capricorn on 18th December and is closely
followed by Mercury and the Sun. The winter solstice chart
gives both the Sun and Jupiter at 0° Capricorn with Mercury
opposite Mars a few degrees further on. The Full Moon follows
on Christmas Eve with Mars, Jupiter and the Sun all at 1°
Cancer/Capricorn. This is a time to count to ten! Tensions
are bubbling under the surface so take that extra breath before
you start shouting. I refer you to Andrew
Morton's astronomy column for an description of what this
actually looks like in the sky.
Mars is still in Cancer for the Sun Moon square but moves
back into Gemini soon afterwards and so into opposition with
Pluto. This may make for a somewhat unsettled New Year. The
exact aspect doesn't happen until 2nd January but there is
a strange configuration around midnight of 1st/2nd January
where you get Mars opposite Pluto at 29 Gemini/Sagittarius,
Moon at 29 Libra and Node at 29 Aquarius. Given the usual
pent up frustration associated with Mars Pluto aspects, the
local emphasis of the Moon may act as a trigger or focus.
I would take extra care during your New Year's celebrations.
Tempers are high. Keep it peaceful.
Merry Christmas.
