Thoughts for January 2007

2007 brings the last year of Pluto in Sagittarius and Jupiter
is also in Sagittarius. Additionally Jupiter will square Uranus
three times during the year. See my forecast
of the year for details. The first of these squares will
take place on 22 January just after the new moon. This sets
the tone for a confrontational year and the planetary movements
of the first few weeks will be important to the turn out.
Following on from the huge build up in Sagittarius in December
we start the year with Mars still in that sign and approaching
the trine to Saturn and the conjunction to Pluto and while
Mars moves from one aspect to another Mercury conjoins the
Sun. To me this focuses the agenda onto ideas. The mutable
signs, especially Sagittarius, are intrinsically involved
with philosophy and ideas. That we have Saturn in Leo - these
are MY Rules - and Sun and Mercury in Capricorn - MY Ideas
- at the same time as Mars approaches Pluto. This could very
well be a time when ownership of ideas and how they are applied
in the real world becomes a real battle ground.
After Mars these aspects Mars enters Capricorn where it is
very strong and will give the required leverage to anyone
who needs to get things done. It does this on 16 January.
As the Sun moves into Aquarius to make six planets in Aquarius
and over the next few weeks they will cluster around the opposition
to Saturn and the conjunction with Neptune. Conflict between
the individual and the collective, between the star and the
audience or the leader and the public and the undermining
of these relationships are likely to provide the issues. Undermining
of trust, or should I say the continuing undermining of trust
between the rulers and the ruled, is a key element of this.
This is the start of a year when pretty much everything we
know about the ideas we hold will be questioned. The path
is not going to be smooth. Next year we have to put them into
action.
