You might like to look at the astronomy for this month here.
June brings the last exact pass of Saturn opposite Neptune.
25th June sees the last of the three oppositions between these
two planets. This is the middle point of their 36 year cycle,
what ever is happening now is a culmination of foundations
laid at the end of 1989 when the two planets were conjunct
in Capricorn.
Also we see the Sun aspecting all the planets during the
month. This is not a characteristic of it being in Gemini
but rather because of the way the planets are positioned.
We start off with Sun opposite Jupiter on 5th, square to Uranus
on 9th. Sun opposite Jupiter is associated with peace, treaties
signed at this time have a higher chance of holding. Jupiter
and Uranus have been squaring each other and we're two down
with one to go so we're in the same hiatus that we have with
Saturn and Neptune. The Sun moving from one to another, translating
light is the technical term, could shake things up a bit.
What ever story is being told here will get a new lease of
life. The final square takes place in October.
11th June sees the Sun start a busy couple of days with
Mars, Saturn and Neptune. This could see a prelude to any
events which will be set off around the Saturn Neptune opposition
on 25th. Mars, which along with the Sun is a faster moving
trigger, will sextile Saturn and the Sun on 11th. Saturn and
Mars trine each other. 13th June sees Mars and Sun sextile/trine
Neptune. It seems as if the two planets in opposition are
being spotlighted in anticipation of their final contact.
15th June sees Mercury station are prepare to retrograde.
It goes direct on July 10th. It's in Cancer which indicates
emotional misunderstandings. See my notes
for March for more on Mercury retrograde. Not many aspects
are made during June so this may be less disruptive than usually
expected.
18st bring a semi-square between the Sun and Venus. Not the
most powerful aspect but it's also associated with Venus's
greatest elongation, that is the largest angle she can make
with the Sun. This happens in the months leading up to a Venus
retrograde - 28th July she stations retrograde - and she can
be seen in the western sky after sunset and is a spectacular
sight. I pointed it out to someone last week and he replied
that is was no wonder that she was mistaken for a UFO.
19th gives us Sun opposite Pluto and 21st sees Mars trine
Pluto. 23rd sees Uranus station before going retrograde and
25th sees the Saturn Neptune opposition. 28th sees Mercury
conjoin with the Sun, its inferior conjunction as Mercury
is between the Earth and the Sun.
So what can we say about this? Saturn Neptune is about dissolving
structures. This can be to dispose of them, to bend them into
new shapes, to transcend existing boundaries. What ever the
exact nature of events we know that we have a battle between
the individual - Saturn in Leo - and the collective - Neptune
in Aquarius. I am indebted to Darby
Costello for her ideas on this. She cautions on blaming
an a specific person for the morass in which you find yourself.
Part of Saturn in Leo is to do with individual responsibility.
We can see, by looking at events, that the individual is in
danger of being consumed by the collective. When Saturn moves
into Virgo we may see progress. In the meantime, we go through
the same issues again and again. Saturn Neptune is blunt,
perhaps we need Virgo to give it an edge?
