An explanation of some technical terms
Local Space Astrology
Uses the equatorial co-ordinate system which measures the height
and position of the planets in the sky. This allows us to assign
direction to a planet. Local space maps can be used with Astro*Carto*Graphy
maps.
A local space chart aligns with the compass points. The horoscope
is based on the ecliptic, on positions of zodiacal longitude. Local
space uses azimuth and altitude and the transference between the
two systems can change two things. Planets can change order and
aspects can change. These need to be calculated for each location.
This is usually when one planet has a high declination so usually
concerns Pluto. For instance I have the following in London: Venus,
Pluto, Uranus, but in San Francisco I have Pluto Venus Uranus.
You can use the chart as a compass and see the position of the
planets as physical lines. Movement along these lines can bring
experiences similar to the planet involved. For instance it is not
unusual to have accidents or road rage when driving along you Mars
line.
If you move more than about 50 miles from your birthplace using
the Local Space chart will distort the lines. Use the lines direct
onto a map if considering greater distances.
